Finely made Joseph Defourney 16ga game gun with original 27" barrels. Splinter forend with Deeley push button release. Sidelock action is beautifully engraved in well executed rose and scroll engraving and looks just like a Purdey! The gun has a straight grip buttstock with modern "No-Shoc" brand pad. This gun has excellent dimensions!
Overall the gun remains in excellent condition. Barrels and wood have been restored. There are two minor grain separations on the bottom stock fingers that have been expertly repaired, otherwise stocks are sound. Traces of original color remain. There is a tiny repaired sling hole at the toe of the stock and on the bottom rib of the barrels. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp.
