Description:
Offering from my personal collection is a wonderful old Pre-War Belgium Browning Superposed Over/Under. Details: 12 Gauge, 2-3/4” chambers, auto-ejectors, 26” solid rib barrel w/ St. Louis address, twin ivory beads, choked Full / Mod, single trigger with barrel selector built into the top tang safety. The action and barrel retain most all of its lovely factory original blue finish, with only slight wear to sharp edges. Dense and highly figured dark walnut buttstock is a non-factory replacement. Vintage “Hawkins” recoil pad is still pliable. Forend is original and serial numbered to the gun but has a minor crack starting where it meets the action. (Shown in photo). Action functions properly and locks up tight with top lever just right of center. Top barrel has a slight ring or buldge approx. 8” from muzzle mostly on the left side (shown in photo). Trigger guard and two guard screws need some attention or replaced as they have been poorly fitted by an amateur gunsmith. Bottom of action shows the engraved bust of the “Master” himself: John Moses Browning.
Stock dimensions: 14-1/4” LOP. 1-1/2” Comb x 2-5/8” Heel x 0” Cast. Weight: 7 lbs. 1 oz.
Overall a nice honest example of a scarce Pre-war Superposed. Serial 155xx. (Circa 1937/38).
Ships with insurance and personally packaged by myself. Ships from an FFL to any valid C&R or FFL holder only. NO shipping to California. 3-day inspection, per terms. Actual shipping costs and insurance is paid by the buyer. (AK and HI extra).
I try my best to represent the condition of any firearm I sell / trade. I take photos of all parts of the gun with no intention to deceive anyone. If you need additional pictures simply ask. Inspection period starts when the package is delivered. (Buyer's remorse, concerns over things you can see in the photos or that were noted in the description are not a valid reason for a refund). All refunds are solely at the seller's discretion and returns will not be accepted if they were not approved by the seller. No disassembly allowed during inspection.
Thank You.
