Description:
Serial #1236, 30” barrels with fitted lumps. Originally proofed 2 1/2” in Liege, it was reproofed in Austria for 2 3/4”. Choked .012” sk2 and . 023” loose imp mod. Wall thickness on both sides is .029”. Bright bores and chambers, blacking in 90% plus condition. Best gun action with 7 pins sidelocks, bushed strikers, third fastener, articulated front trigger and manual safety.
The gun is a little loose on the hinge, but could go for quite a few hunting seasons before needing a new hinge pin. Full coverage of roses and scroll engraving and chiseled oak leaves on the fence balls. Good trigger pulls and ejection. Weight is 6# 8 oz , balance point is about 1” in front of the hinge.
The gun appears to have been restocked nicely, maybe when in Austria. Wood finish and checkering in 90% plus condition and solid. LOP is 14 1/4” drop is 1 1/2” and 2 1/8” with 1/2” cast off.
