UNION MACHINE CO. double barrel 12 guage shotgun
A beautiful double barreled 12 guage shotgun made by Union Machine Co. and so marked on the barrel rib. The lock is marked "UMC". There are two hammers and two triggers. The Damascus steel 29 3/4" barrels retain 90 to 95 % of the original finish as does the lock. The lock and hammers all work as designed. The forepiece is checkered as is the stock at the wrist. All wood and metal are in excellent condition. Proof marks indicate this gun was likely made in Belgium prior to 1890." Union Machine Co." was probably a trade name used by a U.S. distributor. The barrels are marked "Fine Twist". Although this rifle looks fine it should not be fired before being checked by a gunsmith, and it may not be safe to use modern smokeless ammunition. A truly fine piece you'd be proud to own.
I am selling a large collection. See all under "Romsey".
Antique- No FFL required.
