Excellent Crescent Arms 12 GA Hammer Shotgun "The New England" 1900
Description: Serial #24597, 12 Gauge, 30 inch fluid steel barrels with bright, excellent bores choked full and full. This is "The New England" side by side hammer shotgun manufactured by Crescent arms circa 1900. In excellent overall condition the barrels retain about 90-95% blue finish with some scattered freckling, use marks and several small surface gouges on the left barrel top. The frame, lock plates and hammers show perhaps 55-60% muted case colors with the balance fading to a pewter gray. The checkered walnut stock and forearm are solid showing scattered mild scratches and use marks. The lock up is tight with barrels on face. The rebounding hammers both function properly with crisp trigger pulls. The LOP is 14 inches over the original hard rubber butt plate with drops of 1.5 and 2.75 inches at the comb and heel respectively. A great looking hammer gun that would be a welcome addition at any Vintage shoot & especially in the New England area. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
