Utica Arms Firearms Co. Double barrel 12ga
Description: This is a Utica Arms hammerless 12 ga with 2 ¾” chambers, 30” fine Twist barrels in good – very good condition. It appears to have been shot very little but is shop worn. The bores are very good and it locks-up like a vault. The twist pattern on the barrels is near excellent. The stock is of checkered walnut, no breaks but considerable abuse, and a very good butt plate. The action case colors have mostly turned brown but is clean with no rust or corrosion. LOP = 14”, DC = 1 ½”, and DH = 3”. Chokes: IC & Modified. I can recommend this gun highly for the price as a shooter with light off the shelf nitro loads. It is a very solid well-made old gun. Made by Harrington & Richardson for Simmon's hardware store in St Lewis. This is Hopkins & Allen boxlock hammerless gun. It was made on Martin Bye’s 1895 patent and originally produced by Forehand Arms Co. from 1895 to 1902 when H&A bought Forehand. H&A produced this model with slight variations up until 1917 when they went out of business. This is a later version that does not have the push button barrel release introduced in 1905 Price: $550.00 Antique: Yes Shotgun Gauge: 12 Gauge Manufacturer: Utica Firearms Co.
