VERY RARE Winchester Model 42 in 3" "CYL" Choked Field Grade

Selling rare and fine Pre-64 Winchester's from a friend’s personal collection.  This is one of several that will be listed soon.

You are looking at a great condition, factory original, Winchester Model 42 (extremely rare 26” CYL choked) 3" field grade shotgun, excellent bore, Mfg. in 1950.  CYL choked Winchester Model 42’s are EXTREMELY RARE and estimated only 1400 were manufactured between 1937 - 1950. 

According to Schwing’s book on Model 42’s. beginning in 1952, Winchester catalogues would not offer cylinder choked guns.  So, this Model 42 was getting close to the end of the “CYL” choked model 42’s being manufactured.

This extremely rare and nice Model 42 has the correct Winchester proof marks.

Stock set and blue on this model 42 is in nice condition.  It has some wear and handling marks, but it is very nice. I would rate it at 97-98% condition.
