C.G. Bonehill
boxlock from the late 1880\'s with great features ~ Pictures
now!
Description: Boxlocks - Built in the late 1880\'s this lever cocking boxlock is really quite a beautiful gun. For a gun of this period it has many features such as the Purdey double under bite, an extra bite in the rib extension similar to the Westley Richards patent and also unique cocking indicators. The gun is tight and ready for the field. While the bores show some light pitting/haze they are basically bright and have tons of wall thickness so this could be removed with a back bore if one wanted mirror bores. This gun has a fairly short length of pull but could be made to 14 3/8" with a 1" recoil pad. *** Note: To see this gun with high resolution photos and a zoom-in feature, go to the vintagedoubles main site and search for the gun ID: 4344 or browse the main site to see our full gun collection. |
