Ready for modern loads as been sleeved professionally. 30” sleeved Birmingham Nitro Proofed steel barrels with 2 ¾” chambers choked Modified and Full. Rib engraved “W. FINDLAY. KINGSTON. BY FORFAR”. Exceptional quality Scottish hammer gun beautifully restored circa 2001. Finest scroll engraving profusely executed on frame and locks and mounts. Lock plates signed “W. FINDLAY”. Original French Walnut checkered straight grip stock and forend with checkered butt and engraved heal and toe plates. 14 ½” pull. 1 ½”, 2 ½” drop. Weight 6 pounds, 11 ounces. French grey finished locks and frame and mounts. Blued barrels. Wood beautifully redone and checkering refreshed to near new. Barrels with all the finish and with mint bores. Very tight and in perfect working order. William Findlay listed as a gunsmith in the late 1870-1880’s period. Made top quality guns. Restoration on this gun must cost in excess of 3K British pounds. With old English associated leather luggage case missing straps and with handle separated at one end. Nice high quality vintage Scottish hammer gun.
