One of the great rarities in all of double gun collecting - an original 4 bore in original condition. This gun, fresh as a spring daisy from an estate collection is a true, all original behemoth. Made with 34" Damascus barrels, wedge fastened and checkered splinter forend. Case hardened frame and back action locks which are lightly border engraved. Jones Rotary locking system and beaded fences on tops. Straight hand English gripped stock is of nicely figured English Walnut and terminates with what appears to be the original Silvers pad which is hard and crystalizing. Barrel address is crisp and clear and screws are all excellent.
Overall, the gun remains in pleasing all original condition. Barrels retain about 80% of their original pattern. The action retains a flash or two of original case color with crisp engraving and markings. The stocks are sound and retain more than 85% of their original finish with only minor handling marks. Bores are mostly bright and shiny. Gun locks up tight and hammers cock with crispness.
