"CASED JAMES PURDEY & SON 12 GAUGE 2 BARREL SET BEST SHOTGUN (L2025-12513)

Description:
"SN: 23146 made in England in 1926. 12 gauge side by side factory 2 barrel set with Whitworth fluid steel chopper lump barrels, both with 2 ¾" chambers. 28" barrels are choked .011/.021 and 30" barrels are choked .023/.030. Minimum wall thickness on the 28" barrels is .026/.025 and on the 30" barrels is .030/.029. Best grade engraved  with traditional English rose and scroll, side lock assisted opening with double triggers, ejectors, automatic safety and cocking indicators. Highly figured Turkish walnut furniture with a gold oval, horn pistol grip cap and 15 3/8" LOP to the checkered solid butt with a drop of 1 ½" to 2". Overall an outstanding best gun in fantastic condition. Comes in factory oak and leather case with accessories and copies of the Purdey archive.
