This Charles Hellis 12 Gauge side-lock side-by-side is a beautifully engraved English game gun. It features 26" barrels choked Full & Improved Cylinder, double triggers, tang safety, and automatic ejectors.
The side-lock action displays fine scroll, border, and banner engraving, with a gold “2” inlaid on the takedown lever. The checkered walnut straight-grip stock includes carved teardrops, a blank oval in the toe line, a splinter forend with Deeley release, and a fitted leather cheek pad. The stock is cast-on for a left-shoulder shooter.
Condition is excellent with strong original finishes, excellent engraving, bright bores, and a tight, smooth action. The trigger guard has been refinished.
