Cased EJ Churchill Premier 12 bore sidelock ejector gun with 25" barrels. Choked skeet and improved cylinder. Length of pull of 15 1/16” over a horn butt plate.
Straight hand grip, double triggers on a square bar action, pin-less hand detachable locks, auto-safety, matted raised Churchill rib, small brass front bead, vacant gold oval, drop points, gold inlaid "SAFE" ahead of the safety catch, gold inlaid “THE PREMIER QUALITY” on the underside and XXV on the rib, gold lined cocking indicators, maker's name on both lockplates, double beaded trigger guard, an Anson push button forend release, checkered splinter forend, and a checkered wrist. The gun is housed in a maker’s compact toe-under leather case with burgundy baize, maker’s label, and snap caps. Circa 1930 gun proofed in London for 1 1/8 oz loads and 2 ½” chambers that measure the same.
Embellished with the very recognizable Churchill's Premier grade small scroll engraving. Case color hardened action and blued furniture. Action has mostly silvered. Well figured walnut stock. Excellent checkering and stock with minimal sign of field use. The forend has been replaced with the original forend in the case. The reblacked barrels remain in near perfect condition. The bores are excellent. Top lever right of center, the gun is on face, and ejectors are out of time.
