A beautiful early Droplock 12ga game gun built with 30", built as a number 2 of a pair, this lovely Gold Name gun with original splinter forend that has Deeley latch release with gold inlaid "2". Barrels with dolls head extension and are also gold inlaid "2" on rib. The casehardened frame is beautifully scalloped and gold inlaid with maker's name "Westley Richards" on both sides. Blued droplock floor plate. Gun built with single trigger, auto ejectors, auto safety and drop locks and retains its proper proofing as well as factory original 2.5" chambers. The straight grip walnut buttstock is nicely figured and terminates with a finely checkered butt. The gun is housed in a proper and probably original Westley Richards branded makers case with original trade label and also includes some branded accessories as seen in the photos.
This fine gun remains in excellent overall condition as expertly period serviced. The metal and wood finishes are nearly impeccable with only minor signs of use since being serviced. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are excellent and trigger works well. Gun is tight and on face.
