English made sidelock ejector 20-gauge game gun with 28" blacked round nitro proved barrels that are fit with ejectors, a tapered smooth concave game rib and a brass bead front sight. Proved for 2-3/4" cartridges and choked improved modified & improved modified. The rib is roll marked "H.J. HUSSEY LTD. 81 NEW BOND STREET. LONDON." The coin finished action body and lockplates are adorned with border scrolls, "HUSSEY' engraved on both lockplates in the action bar, border scrolls surrounding the cocking indicators. The bottom of the action body is engraved "IMPERIAL SINGLE TRIGGER". Gold-inlaid "2" on top lever and fore-end escutcheon. The sidelock action is fitted with gold-lined cocking indicators, a blacked border engraved top lever with the left side of the thumbpiece checkered and automatic safety with gold-inlaid "SAFE" ahead of the checkered and border engraved safety slide. The single mechanical trigger is protected by a blacked and border engraved trigger guard ending in a long bottom strap with serial number. Deluxe quality walnut stock with straight hand grip, drop points, engraved stock oval - 'M.F.P.' in shaded block, and splinter fore-end with Anson type push button release with an engraved escutcheon and center diamond. 14-3/8" LOP to a checkered butt, 5 Lbs. - 7 Oz. Gun resides in the maker's single leather trunk case with brass corners.
