This is a pre-owned J.J. Langley 7-pin sidelock in 12 bore with 2-1/2" chambers and Nitro-proofed, built circa 1915. A beautiful, handmade English side by side. Rose and scroll engraved sidelock with lovely, engraved monogram "JJL" on the action base. This gun is a stunning example of the finest English gunmaking. James John Langley (1854-1951) established his business in 1880 at 51 Bute Street, London. In 1903 he moved out of London to 31 Park Street, Luton, but by 1908 he was recorded in Church Street. In 1910 his address was recorded as Hows Yard, Church Street. In 1912 he was recorded back at 31 Park Street. 12 Gauge
