James Purdey Best Quality Self-Opening Sidelock – Made 1912 – Original Condition
An exceptional example of British gunmaking heritage, this James Purdey Best Quality self-opening sidelock shotgun, made in 1912, retains much of its original condition.

30" barrels made of Whitworth Fluid Pressed Steel
Bright bores: both barrels measure .733"
- Right barrel: .011" choke (Improved Cylinder)
- Left barrel: .048" choke (Full)
2¾" chambers – barrels ring true
Third fastener and side clips for reinforced strength
Auto safety, tight on face, and mechanically excellent

This gun features a well-figured Monte Carlo stock with capped pistol grip and .6" leather-covered recoil pad. The original stock finish, barrel blue, and sublime case color remain intact. No cracks to the wood.
