Skimin & Wood 16g. retailed under the name Elderkins of Spaulding ~ Light and in very nice condition
Description: Boxlocks - Elderkins is a very old and respected shop in Spaulding England. I talked to Bill Elderkin about this gun and he said his grandfather had most of their guns built by Skimn & Wood. They were well known and respected for building most of the 2" guns in the UK market before WWII. This gun is very light and handles extremely well. It is tight on face and field ready and in very nice condition. If one does not care for the English style stock extension we can remove it and arrange for a recoil pad to replace it. Some history: Skimin & Wood, 31 Loveday St. B\'ham 1920-23, 52 Cliveland St 1923-28, 10,12,14 Vesey St 1929-56, Little Shadwell St 1957-63, 3 Price St 1964-74. F.J. Wiseman succ to bus circa 1964/65.
