Stephen Grant Side Lever 12 Bore Hammergun with 30" Barrels

***SOLD***Cased Stephen Grant 12 bore side lever hammer game gun with 30 ¼” Damascus barrels. The gun is choked modified and modified. Length of pull of 14 7/8” to a leather covered pad.

Straight English stock, double triggers, back action locks, rebounding hammers, extractor, slightly raised smooth concave rib, checkered wrist and forend with mullered borders, and an initialed silver oval on the toe line. The gun is housed in a period leather case. Circa early 1880s gun reproofed in London in 1991 to 850 bar. Chambers proofed to and measure 2 ¾”.

Engraved with small scroll. Case color hardened action and blued furniture. The action has silvered. Excellent overall condition. Both the exhibition grade walnut stock and checkering in excellent condition as refinished with very little sign of use post refinish. Excellent bores and excellent barrel finish and Damascus pattern. The gun remains on face.
