Used C. Smith 20 Bore Hammergun with 30" Barrels

Description:
Used C. Smith 20 bore hammer gun with 30” Damascus barrels. The gun is choked skeet and modified. Length of pull of 15” to a leather covered pad.

Straight English stock, double triggers on a round bar action, rebounding hammers, top lever, extractor, lever forend release, concave game rib with single brass front bead, checkered wrist and forend with mullered borders, and a vacant silver oval on the toe line. Birmingham proofed for 7/8 oz loads with 2 ½” chambers. Chambers measure at 2 ¾”.

Engraved with small scroll and game scene cameos on both sides. The right side has two setters on point with flushing grouse and two pointers on point with flushing grouse on the left side. Silvered action and blued furniture. Plain walnut stock. Very good overall condition. Excellent bores with some minor pits on the left bore. The Damascus barrels show a fair amount of wear/silvering ahead of the breach and scratches throughout. Considerable wear to the leather on the pad. Wood and checkering remain near new as refinished. Top lever slightly left of center. The barrels are on face.
