Description:
W R Leeson Sidelock Deluxe 28" game rib, barrels choked improved cylinder and improved modified (.008/.020).  Original 2-3/4" chambers, 1 oz proof.  The rib inscribed "W R Leeson 3 Warwick Street Regent Street London W. Marked "magnum 2 3/4" on the underside rib.  I believe this was due to the full 1 oz. proof quite rare for the period.  Double triggers, auto ejectors, auto safe. The sidelock action faded to an old silver finish engraved with game scenes of waterfowl and pointing dogs surrounded by English scroll.  Straight hand stock with fabulous black smokey figure and splinter fore end.  Measures 1-1/2" comb, 2 -3/8" heel, and 15" LOP to a checkered ebony butt.  Really a deluxe little side by side.  W R Leeson established around 1878 had been granted a Royal Warrant to the Duke of Edinburgh in 1890.  This little 20 bore was finished circa 1926. Weighs just under 5-3/4 lbs.  Complete with original leather case.
