Guns International #: 101511251
Seller's Inventory #: 3958
I love the long 30" barrels and sensible choking. I would perhaps open the right barrel to near cylinder but besides that would not change a thing as the stock dimensions are quite modern with a great LOP.
*Note the beautiful fences and best quality engraving.
Hammond is a very old English gun making name.
Isaac Hammond opened shop in 1829 and his two sons took over and renamed the business Hammond Brothers in 1878. *** Note: To see this gun with high resolution photos and a zoom-in feature, go to the vintagedoubles main site and search for the gun ID: 3958 or browse the main site to see our full gun collection.

Hammond Brothers of 49 Jewry Street Winchester England ~ A prime example of the
high quality and value from an English provincial maker
Description: Hammerless Sidelocks - This fine sidelock dates from about 1900, right in the middle of the Edwardian period and when some of the best English shotguns were ever produced. This example weeps with the quality this period was capable of. I love the long 30" barrels and sensible choking. I would perhaps open the right barrel to near cylinder but besides that would not change a thing as the stock dimensions are quite modern with a great LOP. *Note the beautiful fences and best quality engraving.
