Shotgun VERY NICE 12 Gauge Boxlock Shotgun Here we present a C&R Double Barrel Side by Side Hammerless Boxlock Shotgun in 12 Gauge, manufactured circa the 1920s in Liverpool, England. William C. Carswell established his gun business in 1913 at E1 Exchange Buildings in Liverpool. In 1920, Carswell bought the businesses of both Hooton & Jones and E&G Higham, using the latter’s address at 4 Chapel Street as his principal trading address. Around 1935 the firm became a limited company, and the barrels would have been marked W C Carswell Ltd. The company ceased to trade in 1982. The overall condition is fine. Excellent action. Bright, smooth bore. Solid stock with expected wear, minor dents, and dings. Sharp markings. Numbers match. Lightly engraved frame. Own the original!
