Description:
Here is a very high quality german made double boxlock that bears no makers name on it. I have seen only a coule other shotguns with similar looking actions. The quality of the action engraving and metal sculpting is just great! The shotgun was imported by Sarco and is marked as such on the water table. It has variou proof marks, but has no serial number markings. The barrels are Damascus that are nicely refinished. They are 27.5" long (metric eqivelent to 28"). This shotgun is a shooter all the way in that it has been fitted with Briley ultralight full length tubes. This was due to the fact that the bores are pretty pitted. They have adeqate wall thickness to be considered shootable with low pressure 12g. shells. But they were just ugly looking so I made the decision to get 20g. tubes for it to add some more modern day shootability to it. The gun weighs 6 lbs. 12 oz. with the tubes installed and it handles very nicely. It is straight grip stocked with a splinter forend. The stock finish was redone as well as the checkering by Brian Dudley (BMD Gunstocks). The horn buttplate on the stock is nicely restored along with bnew screws. The gun has an interesting trigger guard on it as it is half steel and half horn. Just one of the many interesting features that this boxlock has. The gun comes in a very nice full leather case which nicely houses the accessories for removing and installing the tube set and for storing the choke tubes and cleaning supplies. The original sling swivel loops are included. they are jusr removed from the gun. The gun can ship to your FFL or a C&R holder. Shipping is included in the purchase price.
