Description:
This is an outstanding example of a bar-in-wood hammer shotgun. Roblin was a Paris gun maker that specialized in these guns. Of the dozen or so examples that I've seen over the last 30 years, the vast majority have been bar-in-wood hammer guns. The beautiful gold crest is for the King of Austria. The barrels are Leopold Bernard chain damascus and some of the finest tubes ever made. Comparitable in quality and craftsmanship to the best of the best.
