*The question I anticipate is "Who made this gun?" The trade in Suhl before WWII built phenomenal guns and we often see guns like this with no name on them. The only thing we found indicating who built this gun is a proof mark on the action flats, a circle with a K or R and O. The German Gun Club was consulted (join them! go to germanguns ) and they tell us this gun was made by "Fritz Kiess & Co." See the ad they kindly emailed me.
*The case is a bit war torn but has potential. The hinges need new screws. You cannot complain as we are including this case for free!
*This would certainly make a great gun to kill a big tom with those tight long barrels.
The shorter barrels are tightly choked also but could easily be opened to anything one would want for only $80 per tube.
I would put Skeet or near cylinder in the right and Modified in the left for the upland hunting I do. *** Note: To see this gun with high resolution photos and a zoom-in feature, go to the vintagedoubles main site and search for the gun ID: 5260 or browse the main site to see our full gun collection.

German Double Two Barrel (Krupp) set from Kiess & Co. of Suhl ~ Original 32" barrels and a later set of 29.5" set
Description: Boxlocks - This is a beautifully made German double two-barrel set. The 32" barrels show a proof date of May of 1924 and are choked very tight full and full. The 29.5" barrels are proofed from September of 1928 so were added four years later. This gun features higher grade additions such as overhanging sears, auto ejectors, cocking indicators, and side clips. *The question I anticipate is "Who made this gun?"
