*** SOLD *** Handsome Greifelt over/under 12 gauge shotgun with profuse engraving and gorgeous highly figured European walnut with very fine and crisp checkering. The action and forearm iron are covered in game scene and rose & scroll engraving. This Greifelt & Co. over/under was made in Suhl, Germany and imported by Von Langerke & Detmold of New York. It has double triggers, auto ejectors, auto safety, Kersten cross-bolt, and two piece forearm. Serial number is 30301. Made circa 1905 - 1930 and it weighs 7lbs 10oz. *** The 30” nitro steel barrels are equipped with ejectors and topped by a raised ventilated rib. They are chambered for 2-3/4” shotshells. The right side of the top barrel is inscribed “Von Langerke & Detmold Inc”. The left side of the top barrel is inscribed “New – York”. The bottom barrel is bored 0.722 with a constriction of 0.042 for Full choke. The top barrel is also bored 0.722 and has a constriction of 0.042 for Full choke. This would be a great pheasant gun as it is or the chokes could be easily and inexpensively opened up. *** The pistol grip stock and semi-beavertail forearm are made of highly figured European walnut with checkered side panels. The stock is beautifully colored in a caramel background with dark chocolate swirls flowing through it. Satin finish with very fine crisp checkering. There is a professionally repaired three inch vertical scratch visible on the right side of the buttstock. Let me emphasize that it is not a crack, just a long scratch. See photo. Otherwise, there are only a few very minor handling marks. Stock dimensions are 15-3/8” including a 1” leather covered recoil pad by 1-1/2” by 2”. Very slightly cast off for the righthanded shooter. *** This is a great handling very high quality German made over/under.
