Description: Immanuel Meffert/Suhl "Hubertus" – Bock Buchsflinte Model 7160S Retailed by Simon Ries Jr. of KRUMBACH (Bavaria) Date of manufacture: February 1928 Barrel configuration: 16 ga. over 8X57JR (.318”) Condition: Some handling dents in wood, mechanically perfect. Specifications: Hubertus "Treff" action - 27 9/16" (70.3 cm) barrels - Rifle barrel stamped "BOHLENER STAHL" proofed "Nitro" w/ 13 gr (200 grain) St.m.G - Shotgun barrel choked IMP MOD (.026") - Bores of both are perfect. Side of extractor marked "Mod 88 - 8MR." - Horn butt-plate, factory blued receiver and hardware, i.e. trigger guard. 12mm Greifelt-Aufschiebmontage scope base. Rifle groove diameter: .321" - bore diameter: .310". LOP 13 3/4" - Drop Heel 2 3/4" Comb 1 3/8". Weight: 7 lbs. If one wants to mount a scope to this gun and has difficulty finding a matching Greifelt-Aufschiebmontage ring assembly, a pair of Warne or Talley QD rings can be easily fit to the rail, adding a locating stud to the front ring to fit in the rail notch would be a plus. The saw teeth on the rail are unique to the Greifelt mount and do not come into play when using conventional dovetail mounts. Additional pictures are available upon request.
