Merkel 447SL 20 gauge. Made in 2006, serial 481768 has 28-inch barrels (Briley tubes, matted solid rib with single bead, three-inch chambers, ejectors). Features include a sidelock action with side clips, disc set strikers, automatic safety and cocking indicators. TUBES: Five Briley tubes are included (IC/M/M/F/F lead). ENGRAVING: Signed by Richter, the action, guard, tangs, lever and latch wear intricate English scroll to full coverage, the pattern continuing along the sides of the chamber areas. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 6.4 pounds. Length-of-pull is 14.25 inches, drops are 1.5 and 2.5 inches, and cast off is approximately .25 inches. CONDITION: Clearly seldom fired, the bores are pristine and the mechanism exhibits the stiffness of new. Barrels are full on face, ejectors enthusiastic and the lever rests center. Metal finish is approximately 99 percent. Wood is over 95 percent with a few scattered impressions over the butt. No box, papers or choke tube wrench.
