Attractive, fully operational side by side by a respected maker. 16ga scalloped boxlock ejector, action looks like a Merkel or equivalent. Chiseled/sculpted fences, side clips, engraved and gold inlaid heel and toe clips, highly-figured wood. Black finish with gold wire inlay. There were almost certaily another set of barrels included with this when new, either double rifle or cape gun. Set front trigger, cartridge trap, flip-up sight straddled by the automatic safety slide. Other nice details are the ebony fore end tip and ornate monogram behind the cheekpiece. 29" Krupp Steel barrels have 2-5/8"chambers, bright, shiny 0.668" bores choked 0.020 and 0.035 (Mod/Full) and lock up tight to the action. There's a hidden Greener crossbolt as well. Wood is solid, tight to the action, 13-5/8" pull and drops of 1-1/2" comb and 2-1/4 heel. Weighs 6# 5oz.
