Simson (Suhl, Thüringen) ~ Over/Under ~ 12 Gauge

Description:
This 1960 vintage shotgun is a Simson, Suhl (Thüringen) Over/Under chambered in 12 Gauge. It has a front brass bead sight on a solid textured 28" ribbed barrel, a diamond checkered fore arm and pistol grip, sling loops top and bottom, a case-colored ornately engraved receiver, an elevated cheekpiece, a capped pistol grip, a straight comb, a checkered black hard rubber Simson butt plate, and a two piece checkered walnut fore arm. The overall bluing is in fair condition, with numerous areas of freckling in area between the barrels and on rib; case-colored receiver has some light rust adjacent to the fore arm and on under side of tang and the bottom sling loop shows some rust, as well. The wood is in overall good condition, with numerous marks and handling wear on fore arm; butt stock shows some minor handling wear throughout and one pencil eraser sized chip on top of butt stock adjacent to the butt plate. 12 Gauge
