E. Contento Over/Under in 12 Ga, an Italian-made field gun from the Brescia gunmaking tradition known for lively balance, dependable mechanics, and elegant engraving. Designed for smooth mounting and natural swing, it pairs a parallel ventilated rib with a straightforward double-trigger layout to deliver quick target acquisition and intuitive shot sequencing for upland or clays.
This 1975 example from Italy features 2 3/4" chambers, B: Full / U: Extra Cyl chokes, a brass bead sight on a parallel ventilated rib (7mm), and a smoothbore set of about 27 1/2" barrels with an overall length of 44". Wood is in good condition with minor handling marks and a small scuff where metal meets wood on the left side. Barrels are in good condition with light surface marks on the underside and a small area of bluing loss on the left barrel. Nice scroll engraving shows deer on the side of the case and a man with dog on the underside, with rose-style scroll on the fence. Stock is a pistol grip wood configuration with neutral cast; dimensions are LOP 13 7/8", LOP to wood 13 3/4", DAC 1 1/2", and DAH 2 3/8". Operation is via double triggers with extractors, an automatic safety, and no barrel selector.
