Perazzi SCO Extra Type IV special presentation shotgun
Description: This Perazzi SCO Extra Type IV is a 12 ga. with 29 1/2 inch barrels. The hand engraving is of the deep chisel style which is a best work by one of the foremost engravers of our time: Angelo Galeazzi. I have used this shot gun on a very limited basis and the gun is still in as new condition. The gun appears in Karl Lippards book (second edition) on page 88. The gun was given by Danie.le Perazzi to Francisco Sosta. I believe it to be the last chisel engraved gun entirely engraved by Mr. Galeazzi. All surfaces are engraved except under the top lever. The engraving was an original pattern created by Angelo in the 1970's. I was the owner of that gun serial number 32919. (all that remains of 32919 is the receiver and forend iron, the remainder was destroyed in a horiffic train/truck accident) The forend iron is also deep chisel engraved and blued. It is fitted to grade 5A wood. It has a fully checkered surface. Special ordered and perfectly executed. The receiver is a satin natural finish fully deep chisel engraved. The lock or trigger group is engraved as well as the trigger bow. All mechanical parts are gold plated. A word about the trigger group-it is stamped with the serial number of this gun-87190. It has an adjustable length of pull. There is a second trigger group that is a non adjustable length of pull with a gold blade-it has serial number 87193 and fits this gun perfectly. I had Karl Lippard check with the previous owner of 87193 to see if he was missing a trigger. He was not missing one. Both of these guns were built at the same time and it seems that the factory stamped one incorrrectly. (87193 was partially engraved by A.G. but finished by his daughter Laura who also signed that gun) The Buttstock is SCO Extra grade wood with a black recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 1/2 with the fixed blade gold trigger. The wood was personally selected by Daniele Perazzi. The grip is what was called a full competition grip and is perfectly executed by Francisco-lead stock maker at the factory. The forend Has the Tonda design and as previously mentioned iw made of matching 5A grade well figured wood. The barrel is a "L" grade which means that it was the top-grade finisnh. This is one of the finest Perazzi shotguns you'll ever see. The pictures speak to that. In 2022 I had Karl Lippard appraise the gun when it was new. The gun has a replacement apprasial of $135,000 to $160,000. Here's your opportunity to purchase this wonderful gun at a fraction of the "new" appraisal. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Note The price of the gun is $65,000 with both triggers. I will deduct $4000 if you only want the adjustable trigger with the gun. I did have a second barrel made for the gun that has a thinwall choke tube in the bottom barrel. It is for sale for $5,000. (The barrel was purchased from AK Perazzi USA and fitted to the gun by Les Pittman.)
