Piotti Monte Carlo 12 gauge Sidelock
Piotti 12 gauge Monte Carlo model sidelock, made in 1980. The stocks are made of nicely figured Turkish walnut with a length of pull of 14.75" to a checkered butt, drop points, a gold oval stock shield, and 30 LPI checkering. The barrels measure 26 5/8" and are choked .005/.025". Overall weight is 6 lbs 5 ozs.
It was purchased approximately 10 years ago in new, unfired condition from the collection of the estate of Robert Petersen, noted publishing magnate. It has been fired approximately 150 rounds since and remains in excellent condition. Please see the photos for a better description of the condition.
The overall execution and quality of this Piotti is superb, and it is all original and correct in every respect. Additional features include a smooth concave rib, automatic safety, hand-detachable sidelocks, articulated front trigger, and lovely rose and scroll engraving by Granetti.
This is the second gun of a true matched pair, and I would considering selling the pair, which would include the factory leather case and other accessories, to a discerning collector (the listed price is for one item only). Please contact me for further details.
