This Bernardelli Roma - L is a sideplated boxlock ejector that started life in 1990 as a pigeon gun. Sensing the potential for a quality sporting clays guns an adjustable comb has been added and the chokes opened to Improved Cylinder and Light Modified. It has a trouble-free gold plated single non-selective trigger and a hidden third fastener for volume shooting. It also has a bolstered action for strength and selective automatic ejectors. It has a manual safety and engine turned barrel and action flats. All marks of a quality gun. *** The gun is in beautiful condition and has nice engraving on the action and the sideplates. It weighs 7lb 9oz; heavy enough to reduce felt recoil but light enough to be responsive to the shooter. *** The 28” barrels are chambered for 2-3/4” shotshells. They are topped by a raised solid crosshatched rib. The right barrel is bored 0.725 and has a constriction of 0.012 for Improved Cylinder choke. The left barrel is bored 0.727 with a constriction of 0.018 for Light Modified choke. A perfect combination for clays and upland shooting. *** The pistol grip stock and generous beavertail forearm are made from nicely figured European walnut. The checkering is crisp. The length of pull is 14-1/4” over a 1/2” black Decelerator pad with an adjustable comb which allows the shooter to select his/her own drop dimensions. *** This is an ideal sporting gun for someone who prefers to shoot clays with a side-by-side set up for clays competition.
