English made sidelock ejector 12 gauge game gun with two 30" blacked round nitro proved barrels that are fit with ejectors, tapered smooth concave game ribs and a steel bead front sights. Both barrels are proved for 2-1/2" cartridges. The first barrel set is choked skeet and skeet while the second barrel set is choked improved cylinder and improved cyliner. The ribs are roll marked: 'F. BEESLEY, (FROM PURDEY'S) 2 ST JAMES'S STREET, LONDON . S.W.'. The coin finished action body and lockplates are adorned with traditional rose bouquets and scroll engraving and beaded fences. Both lockplates are engraved 'F. BEESLEY' in banners. The action is fit with a blacked engraved top lever with the left side of the thumbpiece checkered and automatic safety with "SAFE" ahead of the checkered and engraved safety slide. The double triggers are protected by an engraved trigger guard ending in a bottom strap with serial number. Best quality walnut stock with round knob pistol hand grip, drop points, vacant stock oval and splinter fore-end with Anson type push button release. 14-5/8" LOP to a 1/4" checkered wooden butt extension, 6 Lbs. - 12 Oz. Gun resides in the maker's single oak & leather case.
