You may know Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos by the name CBC. Today, their a very large manufacturer of ammunition and Magtech is one of their subsidiary companies. However, back in the day, they also produced affordable shotguns and many of these were imported into the U.S. by FIE in Miami, FL.
This Model SB has a 28 inch barrel with a bead sight at the end. The chamber is for 2-3/4 inch shells and the barrel is choked Full. Our serial number is 875249 and the serial numbers on the receiver and the barrel match. There is no number on the forend.
The wood is in Good condition but does show signs of use, but not abuse. There is a black, ventilated H&R recoil pad at the end of the stock that is in Very Good condition. The receiver has simple scroll engraving and most of the finish is still intact. The bore is good and the barrel is bright. Lockup is tight. The barrel does have various areas of thinning finish and very light (not deep) surface oxidation in those areas. As you can see from the photos, there is not a significant amount of this.
Overall, this is exactly what is was originally designed to be . . . an inexpensive shotgun that was made for work, not show. If you’d like an affordable 12 Gauge for either yourself or as a teaching aid for a young student, this one might check that box. Please take a look and see if it does.
