#1725, F.lli Rizzini Model R2-E Boxlock Ejector with Side Plates in 20 Bore with 26" Ejector Chopper Lump Barrels with 5 each Briley Thin Wall screw in chokes 619 .005 - .007 - .011 - .014 & .017" (Skt.I - Imp.Cyl. - Skt.II - Mod. & Imp.Mod) Original 2 3/4" chambers, 1.240 KG weight barrels, Correct bore size based on the metric proof marks, Flat hand filed rib, Single non-selective trigger, Engraved Side plates, Detachable inspection floorplate, Slight beavertail forend with a frontal Anson release, Straight hand stock at 14 7/8 x 1 1/2 x 2 5/16" over a 9/16" leather pad with plugs to remove if needed, 6 lbs. 7 oz., Superb wood that borders on being an Exhibition piece; 85% coverage of Game Bird Engraving with an Excellent Bobwhite Quail, Pheasant and Woodcock with the balance in bouquet & scroll engraving on a satin finished frame by Walter Patelli, Overall condition remains at 95-96%, The frame finish is 100%, The original barrel blue remains at 94%, The stock finish at 99%, The checkering is at 100% The piece is cased in the original leather cornered leather trunk with the factory paperwork. It is tight on the face, the barrels ring like a chime and the bores and chambers as new. Most Model R2-E's were not made with side plates. This piece was ordered with the side plates to enhance the engraving coverage. Nice stuff from one of the top Gunmakers in the world and many feel this is the finest boxlock available anywhere.
