STEPHEN GRANT & SONS 12-BORE 'TWELVE-TWENTY' W. BAKER PATENT ASSISTED-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTOR – No. 2 of a Pair
Description: PRICE REDUCED *** COMES WITH CASE OF RST AMMUNITION !!! *** Superb handling Stephen Grant & Son “Twelve-Twenty” (also known as the “Lightweight” model) 12 bore game gun. Trim W. Baker patent assisted-opening action with Baker patent ejectors. Sharp and profuse acanthus scroll engraving with the signature Grant fluted fences and lots of original case coloring. Single non-selective trigger for quicker second shots, automatic ejectors, auto safety, disc set strikers, and original nitro chopper lump barrels. Grant no. 20837 was made in 1973 and weighs 6lb 5oz making it easy to carry afield for grouse, woodcock, and quail. *** The 27” nitro chopper lump barrels are chambered for 2-1/2” shotshells and they are topped by a slender solid raised concave game style rib. The bluing is in very good condition. The right barrel is inscribed “Stephen Grant & Sons” and the left “7 Bury Street, St. James’s. London, England”. The right barrels is bored 0.733 with a constriction of 0.010 for Improved Cylinder choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.027. The left barrel is bored 0.735 and has a constriction of 0.030 for Full choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.024. *** The straight hand stock and splinter forearm are made of beautifully figured European walnut. The checkering is crisp. The hand rubbed oil finish is in very good condition but there are some handling marks from normal usage. There is a scratch in the stock at the rear of the left lockplate. Stock dimensions are 15” including a 1” leather covered recoil pad by 1-1/2” by 2”. Cast off for the righthand shot. *** These 12 bore "Lightweight" Grants were scaled down to near 20 bore size for ease of carry and great handling. They make a perfect upland gun in the States and a superb driven grouse or partridge gun in the UK. They are hard to find so don't wait too long on this one. Comes with flat of 250 RST 12 Gauge 2-1/2" Shotshells *** Please note that the photographs are part of the description. I am an FFL and will need a signed copy of your dealer’s FFL license.
