FS/ no trades. Stephen Grant sidelever hammer 12 ga shotgun in pristine restored condition. The gun was professionally restored in the UK to include modern steel sleeved barrels, replacement stock and splinter forend. The 30 inch barrels have been Birmingham reproofed for 2 3/4 inch chambers in 2017. The bores are pristine brite and the tig welded sleeve juncture is barely visible, even in sunlight. Briley Thin Wall chokes of Cylinder, IC, Modified and Full are included. The action is of the EC Hodges style and is stamped with his trademark on the breech face and action flat. The Hodges system employstwo free floating bolts to engagewith side projectionson the rear lump as well as a single Purdey-like bite. The action is extremely tight and closes like a bank vault. The locks are a traditional rebounding back action style. A long tang provides added strength to the wrist. The receiver is fully engraved in foliate scroll style.
