Bores at .660" and .665" chokes at .002 and .007" , walls at .021 and .023". Recent brown and varnish in 100% condition. It rings like a church bell.
Top lever with the Grant -Hodges patented bolting , tight on face , back action rebounding locks. Nice trigger pulls. Weight is 6Lbs. 5 Oz , LOP is 14 1/2" with heel and toe plates , Drop is 1 1/2" and 1 7/8" with 1/8" cast off. Nice piece of walnut , not oil soaked , no cracks and still proud over the wood.
Some handling marks. Listed in Grant's book as ordered for Charles E Swindell in 1874. The stock escutcheon is engraved " From Edmund Webb to Charles Edward Swindell". Original oak and leather case that has been reblocked and religned recently.
