Description:
J. Stevens Model 240 over-and-under chambered in .410 bore. Manufactured primarily between 1942 and 1945 during a limited production window, approximately 20,000 of these guns were produced.
This gun features a boxlock action with an exposed dual "split hammer" system, extractors, and double triggers. 26-inch blued barrels chambered for 3-inch shells, choked Full/Full with a brass bead front sight.
The brown Tenite polymer stock is cracked at the wrist. Barrels show some pitting and the case colored action shows 50% color with some surface rust (no pitting). Bores are clean.
