Stevens Model 240 410/410 Over & Under Twin Hammers Vintage Beauty Very Unique

Description:
We bring these in whenever we get to see one; they are somewhat rare and unique, this is the first one we have had in a couple of years. These were made right up the road from us, probably made in the 40's; this is the original version with handsome marbled (figure) tenite stocks meant to look like high grade walnut. The stock set (butt and forend) are in uncommonly good condition with only a few light hanlding marks and no damage. The case color is estimated at 70% or perhaps a little better (most have faded to near zero) so this one is special in this regard as well. The blue on the barrels is a bit washed out (the blue on these was never very good) and it retains what is belived to be its original plastic or Ivory front bead. The bore is excellent and it locks up about as tightly as it did when it left the factory in the last century! 
Most young shooters will not know of the existance of these with their unique twin small hammers side by side. The lever is aslo approx strait and not off to one side. If you have been looking for one of these, this is probably the one to buy.
