Stevens/Savage U.S. Mdl520-30 Trench Gun 12 Ga
Description: Inv.6762 Stevens/Savage U.S. Mdl520-30 Trench Gun 12 Ga. 3/4" shell Ser. 63490. This little trench brute was built in 1943. The gun retains about 85-90% of the original factory wartime finish. There is some slight graying of the barrel band. some small patches of pin prick and finih flaking on the rear of the receiver and the usual sharp edge silvering. Nothing that realistically detracts from the beauty of the gun. The receiver is stamped with a P proof, a Flaming Bomb and U.S. The barrel group is stamped P proof and Flaming Bomb.on the left side. The the heat shield does have some slight toning of the finish on the left rear The barrel and the receiver match. The dark walnut stock retains about 85% of the original finish.The loss is just due to handling. There are nicks, dings or splits anywhere.The feed and ejector mechanisms have little or no evidence of use. .rel group .The barrel is super with a mirror bright bore and noof any use..It comes with the original sling and tan original and an original Remington WWI bayonet and matching sheath. The blade blade is in super condtion. There is no rust or pitting anywher and it has not bee sharpened.The ricasso is tamped remington 1917 on one side the other Flaming Bomb, Eagle/25 and U.S. The hilt, pommel and wooden scales have just about all of the original factory finish . What great combination for the reenactor or collector.The gun is priced $3495, with the bayonet $3595. The bayonet sepoerately $200.
