-Description: Considered by many to be the finest shotgun ever made.  This W&C Scott Imperial Premier sidelock features high relief engraving of the very best quality. The figured walnut with fleur-de-lis checkering along with embellished Steel barrels really makes this gun stand out. The 100% receiver engraving has nine birds surrounded by beautiful oak leaves.

-The gun has double triggers, automatic ejectors, auto safety, gas checks, side clips, Scott’s Improved bolt, thin horn butt plate with a round grip. The gold initials on the trigger guard and gold shield on the tang are classy but not gaudy. You automatically know it's a W&C Scott Imperial Premier when you see these features.

-The light game gun weight is 6lb 3.5oz. It is a real pleasure to carry and shoot birds in the field. The two barrel set is very unusual. They are both 28” highly figured fluid steel barrels. The bores are shiny and bright. Both barrels are inscribed “ W & C. Scott & Son The Premier Imperial 10 Gt. Castle Street and Regent Circus London England”.

-The stock and forearm are highly figured walnut with a round grip. This rare, beautiful, high quality shotgun is in superb condition. There are minimal use marks, no chips or cracks in the wood. The checkering is immaculate.

-The serial number is 576XX dating it to around 1900.

-The leather case is original to the gun.

Imperial Premiers were Scott’s very best quality shotguns, one step up from their standard best-grade: the Premier. In 1928 and Imperial Premier cost $1200, a Holland & Holland Modele de Luxe $1150. At the same time, a new Ford Model A Coupe went for $495 and the average American home cost $2100.
