Contacted Weatherby direct and they stated sometimes the wood coloring just happens to their guns over time. I happen to be liquidating guns. It also has the duck head marble under receiver behind the trigger. This gun is on all the gun blogs as a fantastic shooting shot gun. Giving away at this price, hope it goes to a good home. Only has one choke tube with the gun, however other sizes can be purchased. Plus $40.00 for Insurance, packing, shipping
