Weatherby Athena Grade IV 20 Gauge- 99%, vintage firearms inc
Description: General Specs: Weatherby, Year 1983, 20 Gauge, 6lbs. 5oz., Chokes IC/M, LOP 12 3/16″, DAH 2 1/2″, DAC 1 1/2″ Serial Number: F001073 Here is your opportunity to own an as new Weatherby Athena Grade IV in 20ga. made around 1983 and still in 99% factory original condition. The Grade IV Athena was discontinued over 40 years ago. The guns were made by SKB on a very reliable action with single selective trigger, ejectors, as usual for Weatherby, adorned with beautiful wood and attention to detail. The 26” barrels have mirror shiny bores choked IC/M, 3” chambers, and the mechanics are in perfect working order. The gun has barely been shot. The stock has been shortened for a female shooter of small stature, and the gun would be perfect for a youth gun or for a shooter of smaller stature. The price is set so it is a bargain for the right person who wants a beautiful, hand engraved shotgun for upland game or sporting clays. The Pachmayr Decelerator Sporting Clays pad is one of the best for dissipating recoil and was nicely installed. See specifications below. Weatherby Athena Grade IV is a much nicer gun than the cheapest Beretta or Browning…a real looker as they say and very reliable mechanics as well. Thanks for looking!
