E. Chamberlain Boxlock Ejector 20ga 28” bbls Prince of Wales grip
Description: For sale today is a beautiful English game gun by Edwin Chamberlain. According to my research, this gun was likely built in Hampshire, England prior to WWII, in the 1920s, during the golden era of English gun making. This Anson and Deeley style boxlock ejector remains in veey nice condition. The polished action really highlights its beautifully hand engraved scroll work and has blacked furniture for a nice contrast. The 28” nitro proofed barrels have 2 1/2” chambers, excellent clean bores, and are choked .002/.021 (approx. skeet and improved modified… fantastic for upland birds! The traditional game rib is engraved “E. Chamberlain. Andover & Basingstroke”. The barrels are balanced by a sleek rounded “Prince of Wales” stock. Stocks like this are quite rare! Nicely figured, with a good oil finish, sharp checkering, crisp drop points, and excellent stock dimensions (1.5 x 2.25 x 14.75 with neutral cast) and is paired with a traditional splinter forend. At 5 lbs 9 oz, it’s handles great! The perfect weight for a English 20-bore. Mechanically, it’s a nice solid gun. Nice triggers, solid and tight lock up, and ejectors are in time. Everything is as it should be. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Thank you for your interest!
