29" BARRELS, EXTRA FULL & MODIFIED, 2-3/4", SINGLE TRIGGER, NON-AUTOMATIC SAFETY, PISTOL HAND GRIP, GRIP CAP, SPLINTER FORE-END, RUBBER RECOIL PAD, 8 LBS 2 OZ, 14-1/8" LOP

Built by the illustrious gunmakers A. Brown & Sons (Brown Brothers) this 12-gauge pigeon shotgun with 29" round steel barrels that are fitted with ejectors, 2-3/4" chambers, tapered matte flat-top rib, and front and middle steel bead sights. Chokes are Extra Full in the right barrel and Modified in the left. Top of the right barrel is roll marked: "WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO.," while top of the left barrel is roll marked: "BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND." Each barrel features at the breech two 1" scroll engraved barrel panels. The case color hardened finished sidelock ejector action with Holland & Holland style assisted opener is adorned with full coverage rose bouquets and fine English Arabesque scrolls, "WESTLEY RICHARDS" is on both lockplates and beaded fences. The action is fitted with concealed third bite fastener, side clips, disc-set strikers, gold-lined cocking indicators, left barrel by-pass on the left lockplate, single mechanical trigger with a smooth blade that is protected by a blacked and engraved right side rolled trigger guard which extends to a long bottom strap that is scroll engraved with the gun's serial number, the top lever is blacked, engraved and the left side of the thumb piece is checkered, gold-inlaid "SAFE" ahead of the checkered and engraved non-automatic slide safety. Nicely figured reddish-brown deluxe quality walnut stock with pistol hand grip, hard-rubber grip cap, drop points, point pattern checkering with borders, vacant golden stock shield. Splinter fore-end with similar checkering and Anson type push button release with engraved escutcheon and center tear drop. 14-1/8" LOP to a 5/8" Silver's style rubber recoil pad. 8 Lbs. - 2 Oz. The shotgun is presented in the maker's Rexhide travel case with accessories. The Brown brothers “ABAS” stamp can be seen in rear lump wells.
