This handsome William Evans 12 Gauge side-by-side features a classic sidelock action with border and scroll engraving and striker discs. Gold “No. 2” inlays on the top lever, rib, and forend tip confirm it as the second gun of a matched pair.
The 28" barrels are choked Modified & Improved Cylinder for excellent versatility. The straight-grip walnut stock has attractive carved drop points and measures a comfortable 14½" LOP with 1 1/4" DAC, 2 1/4" DAH, and 10mm cast-off — a well-balanced 6 lbs 4 oz overall.
Condition is very good with solid metal finishes. The stock shows honest field use with worn checkering but remains sound and attractive. Housed in the original maker’s case with snap caps and cleaning accessories.

A very nice, usable William Evans sidelock SxS with proper English styling and provenance as a numbered pair gun. Ideal for driven shoots, walked-up hunting, or as a fine addition to any English gun collection.
